Forgotten Home

Los Angeles

Abandoned for more than five years, this house had nearly been forgotten. Multiple additions had left the floor plan fragmented, and one had been built without a proper foundation. We stripped the house back, corrected the underlying issues, and reimagined it while preserving the simplicity and charm of the original cottage.

There was something worth saving underneath it all.

Rather than erase the character of the original house, we used it as the starting point. A reorganized floor plan created better flow, while natural materials, warmer finishes, and quieter architectural details brought the home back to life.

Old cottage character, reconsidered for a new life.

The kitchen became part of a more open, connected living space, pairing darker cabinetry with expressive stone and simple details that give the room personality.

From forgotten to home again.
