Water damage forced the first-floor to open. We used the opportunity to rethink how the rooms connected, bring more light through the house, and rebuild the kitchen for the way the client actually lives. We partnered with Shenandoah Cabinetry on the kitchen and powder room
The finished kitchen was featured in Shenandoah’s 2026 catalog distributed in Lowe's stores nationwide.
The house needed better flow, not fewer walls.
We widened the connection between rooms to improve sight lines while still keeping each space distinct. New French doors strengthened the relationship to the backyard and brought more of that Southern California indoor and outdoor rhythm into the house.
The details were built around daily habits.
A dedicated coffee bar, concealed appliance storage, a new pantry, and highly specific cabinetry gave everything a place. Mixed metals, a custom tiled hood, and thoughtful hardware kept the kitchen feeling layered rather than purely functional.
Small personal choices made the space feel like home.
We intentionally left room beneath a picture light for something meaningful to the homeowner, a simple move that makes the kitchen feel connected to the rest of the house rather than just a place to cook.
